Enriched data

Discover how Attio automatically enriches your records with dozens of new, powerful data points.

Attio automatically enriches person and company records with useful data points like logos and profile pictures, social media handles, and descriptions. Enriched data removes the need for manually sourcing and adding data to your records. In addition, when Attio has new data it will automatically update enriched attributes so your data is always current.

Attributes that have been enriched by Attio are distinguished with lilac colored cells and the sparkle icon in column headers:

Using enriched data

Attio’s enriched data saves you time and clicks, giving your team a centralized place to find all the data they need about a person or company record.

Within seconds of adding a new record your team can:

  • See automatically populated description, industry, location, ARR, and employee range at a glance

  • Understand the status of each relationship and your team’s interactions with each person and company

  • Sort and filter views by using enriched data such as location, industry type, or Twitter following

  • Navigate lists easily by displaying record photos and company logos

  • Locate the LinkedIn and other social media profiles of leads or job applicants with one click

Enriched data in Attio is automatically populated within attributes that can be surfaced in views, used for filtering and sorting, and viewed on record pages.

Note: It is not possible to export enriched data from Attio. If you overwrite Attio's enriched data manually, data that you have entered yourself is able to be exported.

Enriched object attributes

You can find a number of attributes automatically enriched by Attio on each person or company record page. Note that in order for Attio to enrich records, people records must have an email address, and company records must have a domain, and Attio's ability to enrich each record is dependent on data availability.

Communication intelligence

Attio automatically populates communication intelligence attributes using data from email and calendar sync, as well as phone calls and in-person meetings added to records. These attributes show who is interacting with records and when, providing valuable insights to help you manage relationships and stay on top of communications.

Note: Access to certain enriched and communication intelligence attributes will depend on your Attio plan. Learn more about the different plans available.

The following enriched communication intelligence attributes factor in emails, calendar events, phone calls, and in-person meetings interactions:

  • First interaction: The first interaction any workspace member had with the record

  • Last interaction: The most recent interaction any workspace member had with the record

  • Connection strength: The strength of your connection with the record, No Connection, Very Weak, Weak, Good, Strong, or Very Strong, based on all workspace members' interactions with the record, and factors like response frequency and recency

  • Strongest connection: The workspace member with the strongest connection with the record based on all interactions

For the following enriched communication intelligence attributes, there is an option for each type of interaction: email, calendar, phone call, and in-person meeting:

  • First [type] interaction: The earliest interaction of that type that any workspace member had with the record

  • Last [type] interaction: The most recent interaction of that type that any workspace member had with the record

  • Next [type] interaction: The soonest upcoming interaction of that type that any workspace member has scheduled with the record

Note: Workspace members must sync their email and calendar for those interactions to be included in communication intelligence attributes. Additionally, communication intelligence for company records only includes people with email domains matching the company's domain.

Searching communication intelligence attributes

When searching for a communication intelligence attribute (except Connection strength or Strongest connection) to display in a view or use in a filter:

Choose whether you're looking for a First, Last, or Next interaction:

Next, choose the type(s) of interactions:

Then, choose whether to show the workspace member who had the interaction, when it took place, or both:

  • When: The date of the interaction

  • With: The workspace member who had the interaction

Company, Team, and Job title attributes

Attio will automatically populate Company and Job title for people records and the Team of company records wherever possible.

Company

The Company a person is associated with is automatically set by Attio based on the domain of the first listed email address on the person's record page. If the domain of the email address matches an existing company record's domain, Attio will automatically link the person to the company.

Note: If the first email address has a public domain such as Gmail or Outlook, Attio will check the next email address listed for the person. In the case that there is only one email address and it has a public domain or all email addresses have public domains, Attio will not add a company for the person.

Team

The Team of a company will include all person records that are connected to the company, either manually or via Attio's automatic enrichment outlined above.

You can manually update a person's Company or a company's Team. This can be done on record pages or from a view where the attribute has been surfaced (which will also update the record pages).

Updating a person's Company will automatically update their company's Team, and updating a company's Team will automatically update those people records' Company.

Job title

Attio will also enrich Job title for people records wherever possible. The Job title attribute can be added to views like any other attribute and used for filters and sorts. You can also manually update the Job title from the Companies tab of person record pages.

Frequently asked questions.

  • Attio will check all of the email addresses on a person record for available enrichment data and add all data from the emails to the record.

In cases where more then one email address has enrichment available for the same attribute, Attio will enrich the value coming from the primary email address first (the first one listed on the record), then fallback to the second, etc.
