Overview
Segment is a customer data platform (CDP) that enables you to capture, understand, and utilize all of your customer data. Teams use Segment to improve their customer engagement.
Segment’s integration with Attio listens to Segment events and creates or updates records in Attio based on custom filtering and properties that you define.
How it works
There are two default mappings included with this integration.
- Identify User, which listens to a Segment Identify event and creates or updates a User record in Attio.
- Group Workspace, which listens to a Segment Group event and creates or updates a Workspace record in Attio (and links the associated users).
There is also a custom mapping available called Assert Record, which allows you to listen to arbitrary events and create or update any type of Object in response.
Configure
- From the Segment web app, click Catalog, then click Destinations.
- Search for Attio (Actions) and select it.
- Click Add destination, then follow the setup instructions.
- Click Connect to (destination name) to select the Attio Workspace you’d like to connect to.
