Email forwarding
Opted out of email syncing? Discover our handy alternative.
Attio's powerful email syncing lets you track email conversations and link them to your records, while controlling who sees what.
If you decide to opt out of email syncing, however, email forwarding offers an alternative.
You can forward individual emails from the email address you use to log into your Attio user account to your workspace's inbound email address, and records will be created for everyone in the email thread. Emails you forward will also appear on record pages under the Emails tab.
Finding your inbound email address
Forwarding emails
You can forward or BCC emails to your inbound email address from the email address you use to log into Attio. It won't be possible to forward emails from an email address that is not associated with a user in your workspace.
When you forward or BCC emails to your inbound address, records will be created for all email participants (email and companies), and emails and attachments will be accessible from the Emails tab of each record page. Your sharing settings determine what other members of your workspace can see of the emails you forward.
Note: Keep in mind that when you forward an email chain into Attio, Attio will only add it to the record page(s) for participants of the most recent email. That means if someone forwards you an email from someone else and you forward it into Attio, it will add it to the record page of the person who forwarded it to you, not the original sender.
Sharing settings and blocklisting
Choose what you want other members of your workspace to see of the emails you forward into Attio.
