Recordkite

Attio logs your emails and meetings automatically, but the conversations you have with customers in Slack Connect channels never reach it.

Recordkite brings those conversations into Attio. Add it to the Slack Connect channels you share with customers, choose the Attio company for each one, and every new conversation is logged to the right company, people and deals.

• One entry per conversation, not per message. Threads are logged on their own, and other messages are grouped by topic.
• A summary note on the company for every conversation, with who took part and a link back to Slack.
• A Slack conversation activity on the Activity tab of the company, people and deals (Attio Pro and Enterprise only).
• A Last Slack interaction attribute on companies, people and deals, so you can sort, filter and build views on it.
• People matched automatically by email, with a short list to review for anyone it can't match.

Recordkite only reads the Slack Connect channels you add it to and map. It never reads direct messages or your internal channels.

1. Connect Attio. Recordkite connects once for your whole workspace and adds a Slack conversation activity type and a Last Slack interaction attribute to companies, people and deals.
2. Connect Slack. We set this up with you on a short onboarding call.
3. Add Recordkite to a Slack Connect channel by typing /invite @Recordkite.
4. Map the channel to an Attio company. Recordkite suggests one from the email domains of the people in the channel, and you can add the company's deals too.
5. From then on, Recordkite logs every new conversation in that channel to Attio.

What counts as a conversation

A thread is one conversation, and later replies update it. Messages outside threads are grouped by topic with AI, and a conversation closes after 72 hours of quiet. While a conversation is active, Recordkite updates Attio every 15 minutes. Conversations among your own team, with nobody from the customer’s side, aren’t logged. Files stay in Slack: Recordkite links to them but never copies them into Attio.

What Recordkite writes to Attio

For each conversation, a summary note on the company with the AI summary, next steps, who took part and a link back to Slack. For users on Attio Pro and Enterprise plans, a Slack conversation activity on the company, the people who took part and any mapped deals, showing direction (inbound or outbound), message count and a one-line summary. And the Last Slack interaction date on the company, people and deals.

How people are matched

Recordkite matches people in Slack to Attio people by email, and your own team to your Attio workspace members. Anyone it can't match appears in the Recordkite dashboard, where you can link them to an existing person, create a new person under the company, or ignore them.

What Recordkite reads in Attio

The companies, people and deals it needs to match conversations, and your workspace members so it can recognise your team. It doesn't copy old messages: logging starts when you map a channel.

What you need

• An Attio workspace on any plan. Summary notes and Last Slack interaction work on every plan. The Slack conversation activity on the Activity tab needs Attio Pro or Enterprise; if you upgrade later, click Reconnect Attio in Recordkite's Settings to add it.
• A Slack workspace where you talk to customers in Slack Connect channels. If your workspace requires admins to approve apps, a Slack admin will need to approve Recordkite.
• A Recordkite plan. Pricing is per Attio workspace, by the number of channels you map, from $79 a month, with no charge per person. We set up your plan on the onboarding call.

Getting started

1. Click Install. Sign up with your work email, create your organisation and connect your Attio workspace.
2. On the Get started page, book your onboarding call. On the call we connect Slack with you, answer any questions from your Slack admins, set up your plan and map your first channel together.
3. Add Recordkite to more Slack Connect channels with /invite @Recordkite and map each one on the Channels page in the dashboard.

Tip

In Attio, add Last Slack interaction to the Highlights on companies, people and deals so it shows at the top of each record's Overview.
