Overview
CloudTalk brings your team's phone conversations directly into Attio, so your CRM reflects every customer interaction without manual data entry.
Once connected, CloudTalk automatically logs calls — inbound, outbound, missed, and voicemail — and SMS to the right people along with CloudTalk's AI Conversation Intelligence: a summary, sentiment, and key topics, plus links to the recording and full call detail.
What sets CloudTalk apart is where that AI data lands. Instead of leaving AI insights trapped in a note, CloudTalk can write it into structured, filterable attributes on a call record — so you can filter, group, report, and build workflows on what was actually said, not just that a call happened.
You choose how calls are stored: as a structured Call object for teams that want to filter and report on call activity, or as simple notes for teams that want zero setup. Either way, contacts stay in sync and your reps stop copying call notes by hand.
How it works
CloudTalk supports two logging modes, so you can match the integration to how your team works.
With the custom Call object (recommended), each call becomes a structured record linked to the person, with the detail you care about written into typed attributes — direction, duration, disposition, recording link, agent, and AI summary, sentiment, and topics. Because these are real attributes, anything Attio can do with a record it can do with a call: filter, group, report, and automate. A CloudTalk call tab also appears on each person, giving reps the full call history at a glance. You map only the fields you want; anything unmapped is preserved as a note so nothing is lost.
With notes mode, each call is written as a note on the person's timeline. It's readable straight away with no configuration, ideal for smaller teams who want history without setup.
Key features:
- Automatic logging of inbound, outbound, missed, voicemail, transferred, and internal calls
- AI call intelligence on each call — summary, sentiment, topics, and transcript link, readable on the record
- Two-way contact sync, so Attio contacts power caller ID in CloudTalk and CloudTalk contacts flow into Attio, de-duplicated by email
- Inbound and outbound SMS logging
- Recording link on every call
- One-click connection per workspace, with agents matched to users by email
- Calls attributed to the real agent, matched to your workspace by email
- Automatic refresh when tags, notes, or AI data arrive after a call ends
Configure
You must be a workspace admin to set up CloudTalk.
In the CloudTalk dashboard, go to Account > Integrations, find CloudTalk's Attio integration, and click Add. You'll be redirected to Attio to authorize access. Once authorized, CloudTalk imports your existing people so caller ID works from day one, and keeps them in sync automatically.
Next, choose how calls are logged:
- Notes mode works immediately, with no object or field mapping. Calls and SMS appear as notes on the matching person.
- Custom call object mode gives you structured, reportable calls. In Attio, create an object for your calls, add attributes for the call data you want, and add a relationship to people so calls appear on the right record. Then map your fields in the CloudTalk dashboard.
You can also choose which call types are logged, whether to include recording links, and which numbers are connected for calls and SMS. When you're ready, switch the integration to active and CloudTalk begins syncing contacts and logging conversations.
