Track status of sequence recipients
View sequence recipients and the status of emails sent.
Available on pro and enterprise plans.
All members with access to the sequence can use this feature.
Monitor and manage each recipient's progress through your email sequence. You can view which steps have been sent and completed, see out‑of‑office replies, and know when exit criteria has been met.
View and manage sequence recipients
To view the progress of recipients and emails:
Go to Automations > Sequences in the left-hand sidebar.
Select the sequence and navigate to the Recipients tab.
Click a recipient to view their progress.
For each recipient, you can see who enrolled them, which steps have been completed and when, their current step, any replies received, automatic out-of-office replies detected, and whether exit criteria have been met.
Pause, resume, or exit individual recipients
While viewing an individual recipient, you can manually:
Pause their sequence
Resume a paused sequence
Exit from sequence to stop all future emails
Exit all recipients in bulk
If you want to stop emails for everyone currently enrolled, you can disable the sequence and select the option to exit all active recipients. Disabling a sequence only provides the option to exit recipients entirely, not to pause them. It is not possible to pause or resume a sequence for multiple recipients at once.
Under Insights, you can see how many recipients are Active, Enrolled, or Exited. Recipients may be exited for several reasons, including meeting exit criteria, completing the sequence, unsubscribing, a hard bounce, or being manually exited by a workspace member.
Out of office detection
If an email sent from a sequence receives an automatic out of office reply, the recipient will automatically be paused in all sequences until the day after they will return, indicated in their email.
Email outbox
Attio limits the frequency of emails sent from a single mailbox to protect your deliverability. During the delivery window set for a sequence, queued emails appear in the Outbox. Learn more about email sending limits and the outbox.
