Overview
Connect Attio to Instantly to turn CRM activity into outreach and keep your records in sync. Sync Attio people into Instantly contact lists, and keep them updated when people are created or changed in Attio.
Build automations from Attio events—people, companies, deals, tasks, list entries, and custom objects—so you can start campaigns, enrich leads, or run follow-ups when your CRM changes. Instantly can also write back to Attio: create and update people, companies, and deals; add notes and tasks; and add or remove records from lists.
How it works
Attio webhooks notify Instantly when records change. Automations can start on people, companies, deals, tasks, list entries, and custom objects—when they’re created, updated, or deleted—so outreach reacts to CRM activity in real time.
In the other direction, Instantly actions write back to Attio: create and update people, companies, and deals; add notes and tasks; and add or remove records from lists. That keeps Attio aligned with what happens in your campaigns.
Common use cases: enroll new Attio contacts into campaigns, trigger follow-ups when a deal stage or list membership changes, log outreach outcomes as notes or tasks, and update CRM fields after a reply or conversion.
Configure
Follow these steps in Instantly to connect Attio and set up your first automation.
Step 1: Connect your Attio account
- In Instantly, go to Automations and click Add New, or open Settings → Integrations.
- When configuring an Attio trigger or action, open the Account dropdown and click Add new.
- You’ll be redirected to Attio to sign in and authorize Instantly. Approve the connection, then return to Instantly.
- Select the connected Attio account for each Attio step in your workflow.
Step 2: Create an automation
- Go to Automations → Add New.
- Name your workflow and optionally set a Schedule (frequency, timezone, time of day, weekdays only).
Step 3: Add an Attio trigger
- Add a Trigger and choose Attio.
- Pick the event that should start the workflow, for example:
- People, companies, or deals — created, updated, or deleted
- Tasks — created, updated, or deleted
- List entries — created, updated, or deleted
- Custom object records — created, updated, or deleted
- Select your connected Attio account and finish trigger setup. Instantly registers the webhook when you save the workflow.
You can also use Instantly triggers (e.g. lead replies, interest status changed, lead added to list) and write results back to Attio in later steps.
Step 4: Build the workflow (optional)
- If/Else — branch on lead or record data (e.g. corporate domain vs. personal email).
- Delay — wait minutes, hours, or days before the next step.
Step 5: Add actions
After the trigger, add steps in Attio, Instantly, or other connected apps.
Attio actions:
- Create or update person, company, or deal
- Create note or task; update task
- Add or remove record from a list
- Create or update custom object record
Instantly actions (common pairings):
- Add lead to list
- Add lead to campaign
Map fields from the trigger output (type / to insert variables such as email, name, record ID).
Step 6: Test and activate
- Click Continue and run a test with sample Attio data.
- Confirm the trigger fires and actions complete successfully.
- Toggle the workflow on and check History to verify live runs.
Example flows
