Overview
Duplicate records creep into every CRM: the same person imported twice, a company created by two teammates, an enriched record that didn't match the original. They split your activity history, skew reports, and embarrass you in outreach.
Deduptio finds those duplicates and removes them safely. It scans the objects you choose: people, companies, or any custom object — using match rules you control, groups records that are really the same entity, and shows each group side by side with the reason it matched. You pick the record that survives, preview the result, and merge: one group at a time, or hundreds in one click.
Merges use Attio's native record merge, so emails, calls, notes, tasks, and list entries follow the surviving record. Nothing is ever written to your workspace until you approve an action, and every merge stays reversible for 24 hours. Duplicate list entries left behind by merges are cleaned up automatically, with the same 24-hour restore.
Scans are read-only, dry-run previews are free on every plan, and scheduled scans email you when new duplicates appear, so your workspace stays clean after the first big cleanup, too.
How it works
Match rules you control. Define per object what makes two records the same: matching email addresses, domains, names, or phone numbers, exact or fuzzy, combined with ANY or ALL logic.
Read-only scans. Run a scan on demand or on a daily/weekly schedule. Deduptio pages through the object's records, applies your rule, and creates duplicate groups — each with the reason its members matched. When a scheduled scan finds something new, you get an email.
A review queue built for judgment calls. Each group shows its records side by side with comparable fields and a proposed keeper (typically the oldest, most complete record). Override the choice, preview the merge, merge, or skip groups that aren't real duplicates — skipped groups never come back.
Bulk merging. Filter by object, select the groups you trust — or select all — and merge them in one run. Each group keeps the record you chose.
Native, lossless merges. Deduptio calls Attio's own record merge, so activity history, emails, calls, notes, tasks, and list memberships are preserved on the surviving record.
Lists stay clean. If merged records shared a list, the leftover duplicate entry is removed automatically (keep-oldest, snapshotted). Lists with older duplicate entries can be cleaned with a keep-oldest or keep-newest rule, and duplicate records sitting in the same list can be merged straight from the list view.
Everything is reversible. Every merge and every removed list entry can be restored for 24 hours from the merge log and removal log.
Configure
Setup takes a few minutes and requires no changes inside Attio:
- Create an account at deduptio.com and verify your email.
- Click "Connect Attio" and approve the OAuth request for the workspace you want to clean. Deduptio reads records and lists to find duplicates; it writes only when you confirm a merge or a list cleanup.
- Open Rules and create a match rule for your first object — for example, people match when their email addresses are equal. Add more keys or switch to fuzzy matching as needed.
- Open Scan and run your first scan. For ongoing hygiene, enable the daily or weekly schedule; you'll be emailed when new duplicate groups appear.
- Review the groups on the Duplicates page, pick the record to keep in each, and merge — individually or in bulk. The merge log keeps every merge restorable for 24 hours.
If your Attio token ever expires, Deduptio shows a Reconnect link — re-authorizing takes one click and keeps all rules, groups, and history. The Free plan includes 25 live merges per month with objects up to 10,000 records; paid plans add unlimited merges, fuzzy matching, and larger objects. Full documentation: deduptio.com/docs.
