Using the extension with Gmail and Google Meet
You can use the Chrome extension in Gmail and during Google Meet calls to quickly add, view, and update records for the people and companies you’re emailing or meeting with.
Gmail
When you open the extension in Gmail, it shows existing records that match the email participants. Select a record to view it or update its details.
If no matching records exist, Attio suggests new records based on the participants. Click Add to Attio to create a record, then add attribute values or add the record to a list.
Google Meet
When you open the extension during a Google Meet call, it surfaces people invited to the meeting’s associated calendar event and searches for matches among active participants. From there, you can add new records, update attribute values, or open existing records in Attio.
Using the extension on any website
The Chrome extension can be used on any website, including Twitter, to create, view, or update records related to the website you are viewing.
When you open the extension on a website, under Records you will see any existing company records in your workspace with the same domain as website you’re viewing, as well as any people records in your workspace with an email domain that matches the website domain. Click a record to view or update it.
If a record with the domain doesn't exist yet, you will have the option to create a new company record for the website you are viewing. Click Add to Attio to add it to your workspace, and you can add data to the record’s attributes. You can also add the record to lists.
You can also use the extension with Twitter to add people and companies to Attio and populate the following attributes:
Name
Description
Domain (if company and website are provided)
Twitter handle
Manage relationships in the extension
To create or update records and associate them with people or companies using relationship attributes in the Chrome extension, first configure the record page for the object in Attio and add relationship tabs.
Relationship tabs configured on record pages appear as sections when you open a record of that object in the extension. This allows you to view and manage records connected through those relationships directly from the extension.
For example, if a company record page includes a relationship tab for Associated deals, that section will also appear when viewing the company in the extension.
From these sections, you can:
Click + to link existing records or create and link new records through the relationship.
Click a connected record's name to view or update its details.

Whether you are using the Chrome extension on Gmail or another website, there are several actions you can take to navigate, reference, and update your records:
