Troubleshooting the Attio Chrome extension

These troubleshooting steps tend to fix most issues people experience with the Attio Chrome extension.

The following steps can be taken to resolve most loading or performance issues, which are often caused by the browser or needing to run updates. Learn more about Attio's Chrome extension.

1. Try a hard refresh of the page

Sometimes a simple hard refresh, which clears the browser's cache for a specific page, is a quick solution for certain issues. To do a hard refresh on a Mac on Chrome, use command+shift+R. To do a hard refresh on Windows, use control+F5.

2. Check everything is up to date

If the hard refresh doesn't solve the issue, the next step is to check that the extension and your Chrome browser are both up to date.

Update the extension

Though the Attio Chrome extension normally updates automatically, it's possible you're not running the latest version. To ensure you're on the latest version, you can either delete and reinstall the extension, or update all your extensions manually.

To delete the extension, click the puzzle piece icon in the upper-right corner of your browser, select the icon next to the Attio extension, and click Remove from Chrome. Then, reinstall the extension from this page.

To update all your extensions, start by clicking on the puzzle piece icon in the upper-right of your Chrome toolbar. Click Manage Extensions from the dropdown.

Shows the Manage Extension button from the Chrome toolbar extensions dropdown menu.

Toggle Developer mode on in the top right and when it appears, click Update in the top left. This should force all your Chrome extensions to update.

A cursor hovers over the the update button in Chrome extensions window. This button updates all Chrome extensions.

Update Chrome

If this doesn't resolve the issue, the next thing you'll want to check is whether you're running the latest version of Chrome. Click the icon in the top-right of your browser and choose Help from the dropdown, followed by About Google Chrome. If there's an update waiting for you, you’ll see the option to Relaunch. This will automatically download and install any new updates. Once updated (or if you were already running the latest version to begin with), you’ll see ‘Chrome is up to date’ in this window.

In Chrome's About Google Chrome window, a cursor hovers over the the Relaunch button beside details about which version of Chrome is currently installed.
