Using the Model Context Protocol, Attio MCP enables compatible AI assistants to securely access and take action on your CRM data once it has been configured and authenticated. This makes it possible to search, create, and update records, work with notes, and manage tasks in Attio using natural language.
If you are building AI powered workflows or connecting AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, or other MCP compatible clients to Attio, this is the supported way to do it.
What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that allows AI assistants to securely interact with external tools and data sources.
Attio’s MCP implementation provides a structured and permissioned way for AI assistants to access your workspace. Actions are authenticated and respect your existing workspace permissions.
Who should use Attio MCP?
Attio MCP is for anyone who wants to connect an external AI assistant to their Attio workspace.
This can include developers building custom workflows, as well as operators or team members who want to use AI assistants like ChatGPT or other MCP compatible clients to query or update CRM data.
If you are only using AI features inside Attio, you do not need MCP. MCP is only required when connecting an external AI assistant to your workspace.
What you can do with Attio MCP
With Attio MCP, compatible AI assistants can:
Search for people, companies, deals, and other records
Create and update records
Search, create, and update notes
Search emails and meetings
Create and update tasks
Create and update lists, and update list entries
Access is scoped to your authenticated Attio account, so AI assistants can only access data and take actions that you already have permission to access in your workspace.

Ask Attio allows you to use AI directly inside Attio. It is designed for fast, in product answers and assistance with your workspace, with no additional setup required.
Attio MCP is a good fit when you want to connect Attio to external AI assistants and workflows. For example:
Using AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude to generate structured outputs such as sales summaries or reports based on your CRM data
Connecting Attio with other MCP enabled tools to move or sync information between systems
