Overview

Round Robin Pro helps Attio teams assign records and list entries to workspace members using reusable round-robin and weighted templates.

Instead of manually choosing an owner for each new lead, account, user, task, or list entry, workspace admins can create assignment templates in Attio settings and use them inside Attio workflows.

Each workflow run selects the next eligible teammate, updates the configured Attio User field, and makes the selected assignee available to later workflow steps.

Assignment templates

Templates can use round-robin distribution for equal assignment, or weighted distribution when some teammates should receive a larger share.

You can also add optional availability settings for individual workspace members, including active status, timezone, working days, and working hours.

Audit log

Round Robin Pro keeps an audit log so workspace admins can see who made changes to templates or availability settings.

Use cases

Round Robin Pro is designed for teams that want consistent ownership rules across sales, support, operations, onboarding, and internal workflows.

It works with standard Attio object records and list entries, so your team can assign the records it already uses without moving the process outside Attio.

How it works

Template setup

A workspace admin creates one or more templates from the Round Robin Pro settings page.

Each template defines the workspace members who can receive assignments, the distribution model, and any optional availability rules.

Assignment workflow

Round Robin Pro adds a custom workflow block to Attio called "Assign round robin user". Using the block, you can select a template to run when the block is triggered.

When an Attio workflow reaches the Round Robin Pro block, the app loads the selected template and checks which members are currently eligible.

If at least one member is available, Round Robin Pro selects the next assignee, updates the configured Attio User field, and returns the Assignee selected outcome.

Downstream workflow actions

The selected assignee is available to later workflow blocks.

You can use the selected assignee in steps such as sending a Slack notification, creating a task, branching by outcome, or updating additional fields.

No assignee available

If no member is available, the workflow follows the No assignee available outcome.

This lets you create a separate workflow path for cases where no eligible assignee is found because of availability settings, inactive participants, or template configuration.

Supported target types

Round Robin Pro supports assignments for object records and list entries.

  • Object records. Assign a User field directly on an Attio object record, such as a Company, Person, Deal, User, or custom object record.
  • List entries. Assign a User field on an Attio list entry. The workflow can use a list-entry trigger or a record variable from the trigger, and the app updates the selected User field on the matching entry.
