Echo

Echo is a marketing OS for small marketing teams. It shows how your brand appears in AI answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews), turns that into a to-do list of website changes, and runs your lead forms and email campaigns.

With the Echo app, Attio stays up to date with your marketing without anyone doing it by hand. Every lead Echo collects becomes a people record in Attio, every reply to an Echo email lands as a note on that person, and your Attio deals flow back into Echo. That way you can see which campaigns bring in pipeline, not just clicks.

Echo syncs right after you connect, once a day, and whenever you click "Sync now" in Echo.

From Echo to Attio

• Every lead in Echo (from Echo's lead forms, email campaigns or added by your team) becomes a people record, matched by email address, so nobody is duplicated. A name already in Attio is never cleared.

• Echo adds three text attributes to the people object: "Echo campaign" (the email campaign the person is in), "Echo status" (lead, sending, replied, finished, unsubscribed …) and "Echo consent" (when and how the person agreed to get email).

• Replies to Echo emails are added as notes on the person. Out-of-office and other automatic replies are left out.

• Only leads that changed since the last sync are written again.

From Attio to Echo

• Deals created in the last 13 months (name, value, stage, won or lost) are read into Echo's Performance page. A deal whose associated person is an Echo lead counts toward that lead's campaign, so each campaign's pipeline shows next to its visits and leads.

Only when you ask

• "Add to Attio" on a company that visited your website finds or creates the company record by its domain and adds a note of its visits.

• Adding target accounts "From Attio" reads your company records so you can pick the ones Echo watches.

• A playbook step can create or update a people record, or create an Attio task linked to the person.

Echo never deletes records, attributes or notes in Attio.

You need an Echo workspace on a paid plan (Starter, Growth or Pro). Leads, email campaigns and replies are part of Echo's Growth and Pro plans; Attio deals show on every plan. Only the owner of the Echo workspace can connect or disconnect Attio.

To connect

1. In Echo, go to Settings → Connections → Attio and click "Connect Attio".

2. Sign in to Attio, pick your workspace and allow access. Echo asks for read and write access to records (people, companies and deals), notes, tasks and object configuration (to add its three attributes to the people object), and read access to users, which Attio requires to create tasks.

3. You're sent back to Echo, which adds its three attributes to the people object and starts the first sync right away.

Settings → Connections → Attio then shows the Attio workspace, the last sync and how many people records and deals are linked.

To disconnect

Click "Disconnect" in the same place in Echo. Echo then forgets the connection and deletes the Attio deals it imported. Uninstalling the app in Attio (Workspace settings → Apps) also revokes Echo's access. The people records, attributes and notes Echo wrote stay in Attio.
