Overview
CheckRedirects helps keep domain-based records in Attio clean and up to date.
It follows redirects for company domains, email domains, or any custom object with a domain field. That makes it useful for spotting duplicate companies, rebrands, acquisitions, and dead domains.
The app adds two Workflow blocks to Attio. It does not read, write, merge, or modify records itself. You decide what Attio should do with the result.
How it works
CheckRedirects adds two Attio Workflow blocks:
- Resolve Domain: checks a domain or URL and returns where it ultimately resolves.
- Resolve Email Domain: extracts the root domain from an email address and checks that website.
Use them when records are created or on a recurring schedule to spot redirects, rebrands, acquisitions, dead domains, and possible duplicates.
Each check follows up to 10 redirects and returns the final domain, final URL, redirect count, and a report link. It also surfaces DNS, TLS, HTTP, and redirect errors so you can route failures separately.
Domain changed is only true when the registered domain actually changes. www.acme.com → acme.com or acme.com → app.acme.com does not count; acme.com → bigcorp.com does.
Configure

Sign up at checkredirects.io and create an API key.

Install the app in your Attio workspace.

Click "Add connection" and paste just the API key.

Add Resolve Domain or Resolve Email Domain to a workflow and set its input.
There are no other app settings. API access is included on all CheckRedirects plans. Each block run uses one check.
