Automated daily backups and one-click restore for Attio.

ProBackup is an independent backup service for Attio CRM. It creates a daily Snapshot of your workspace and stores it outside Attio, so you can restore a single record (or a whole list) exactly as it existed on any earlier date.

What gets backed up

Every Snapshot captures records (people, companies, deals, users and workspaces), lists, files, comments, notes and tasks. Backups run once every 24 hours. Connect Attio via secure OAuth in around three minutes; there is nothing to install and nothing for your team to maintain.

Why your CRM needs a backup of its own

Attio protects its own infrastructure. It does not protect you from your own workspace: a deleted record, a bulk edit that overwrites the wrong field across hundreds of companies, a departing colleague's cleanup, or an automation or AI agent acting faster than anyone can notice. Recovering that data is your responsibility, and that is the gap ProBackup fills.

Granular one-click restore

Restore exactly what you lost: an individual record, a comment, a note, a file, a task, or a full list, without rolling back the work your team has done since. Point-in-time recovery lets you choose the date to restore from.

Browse and search your history

Vault gives you a structured view of your backed-up Attio data. Navigate your workspace hierarchy, switch between data types, use the date picker to see how records evolved, and compare versions side by side. Export any table to Excel. Global search across every Snapshot is available on Pro and Premium plans.

Redundant Google Drive sync (Pro and Premium)

Sync backups to Google Sheets and Drive folders for a second copy in a format your team already knows: readable even if ProBackup is unavailable.

Smart alerts (Pro and Premium)

Get an email when ProBackup detects unusual deletion volume or a sharp drop in backed-up records, so you find out before the damage compounds.

Security

AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, two-factor authentication and Google SSO on all plans. Premium adds Single Sign-On, audit reports, a virus scanner, bulk file download and advanced scope control.

Plans start at $25/month billed annually ($31 monthly). Pro is $38 ($47) and Premium is $69 ($86). How ProBackup works

1. Connect via OAuth

You authorise ProBackup from your Attio account using secure OAuth — no API keys to generate, no credentials stored, nothing to install. Setup takes around three minutes. You then select which workspaces to include or exclude from scope. Access can be revoked from Attio at any time.

2. Daily Snapshots

ProBackup reads your Attio data through the official Attio API once every 24 hours. There is no schedule to configure. Each run produces a Snapshot: a complete, dated version of your workspace rather than a delta, so any single date can be restored on its own.

The backup is read-only. ProBackup writes nothing back to Attio unless you explicitly trigger a restore, so your workspace, automations and audit trail are unaffected by the backup itself.

3. Smart retries

API rate limits and transient errors are handled by the backup engine, which reschedules failed calls automatically instead of skipping the affected data. You do not need to intervene when a run hits a limit.

4. What gets captured

Each Attio Snapshot includes:

• Records — people, companies, deals, users and workspaces, with their attribute values
• Lists — including list entries and their structure
• Notes and comments
• Tasks
• Files and attachments, stored as files rather than links

ProBackup captures what the Attio API exposes. Anything the API does not make available cannot be backed up by any third-party tool, ours included — we would rather state that than imply coverage we cannot deliver.

5. Storage and encryption

Snapshots are stored on AWS S3, encrypted with AES-256 at rest and transferred over TLS. Your backups sit outside Attio's infrastructure, so a problem inside your Attio workspace — a deletion, a bad bulk edit, a misfiring integration — has no effect on the stored copies. Account access is protected by two-factor authentication and Google SSO on all plans; Premium adds Single Sign-On.

6. Retention and versions

Every daily Snapshot is retained as a separate version, so you can compare how a record changed over time and restore the state from a specific date. Version history covers 6 months on Plus and 2 years on Pro.

7. Restore

Restores are granular and run through the Attio API. Select a record, note, comment, task, file or list, choose the date, and restore it — without rolling back changes your team made afterwards.

8. Optional Google Drive sync (Pro and Premium)

Records are written to Google Sheets and updated daily; files are stored separately in Drive folders. Sheet cell limits (2 million per sheet) are handled automatically. Above 50,000 records no Sheet is created, though the AWS backup continues to run in full.

Getting started

Before you begin

You need an Attio account and a ProBackup account. Registration is by email (passwordless by default), with optional password and two-factor authentication, or SSO on Premium. No credit card is required for the 7-day trial, and nothing is installed in your Attio workspace.

1. Create your ProBackup account

Sign up at probackup.io and confirm your email address.

2. Select Attio

Choose Attio from the list of supported platforms. You can add other platforms to the same account at any time (your subscription covers unlimited apps).

3. Authorise access via OAuth

You are redirected to Attio to approve the connection. ProBackup requests read access to your workspace data; approval takes one click, and you can revoke it from Attio whenever you choose.

4. Set your backup scope

Select which data types to include or exclude.

5. Enable Google Drive sync (optional, Pro and Premium)

Connect Google Drive to keep a second copy of your backups in Google Sheets and Drive folders, updated daily.

6. Confirm

Your first backup begins immediately. After that, ProBackup runs once every 24 hours with no further input. You can follow progress from the dashboard.

Adding your team (optional)

Invite colleagues and set permissions per platform: View only, Export, or Restore. You also choose whether an invited user sees all backed-up data or only the data they can already access in Attio. Plus includes 1 user, Pro includes 10, and Premium is unlimited.
