Challenge
Conduit's explosive growth as a Web3 infrastructure provider was outpacing their makeshift setup’s ability to track new opportunities, analyze customer relationships, and manage complex deployments effectively.
Solution
Use Attio to build their own flexible engine for GTM and post-sales operations, dramatically boosting team-wide productivity and automating deployment updates across their business.

Breaking barriers to Web3 building
Over the past decade, crypto apps have surged, driven by the rise of Web3 platforms like Ethereum which have allowed anyone to build scalable, decentralized blockchain apps. But with this success came Ethereum's biggest challenge: network congestion that made transactions too clunky and expensive for users.
Rollups were the critical breakthrough: bundling transactions to reduce fees and congestion while maintaining Ethereum's core security. But implementing a rollup was still a huge undertaking — needing deep expertise, expensive tools, and weeks of testing just to get started.
Conduit removes that barrier. Founded in 2022 by Andrew Huang, Conduit is one of the first self-serve Rollups‑as‑a‑Service platforms where crypto teams can spin up scalable, production-ready rollups in minutes.
"Our mission is to make rollups as easy as spinning up virtual machines on AWS," explains Tyler Bubin, Director of Revenue. "We want to make rollups just as accessible to every builder in the Web3 space."
In just over a year since their founding, Conduit has already raised $44 million, and they’re still scaling. “We already power rollups for leading web companies like Blackbird, Ethena, Polygon, Mode and Zora – this infrastructure will power the next wave of crypto innovation in the Web3 space,” says Tyler.
Bottlenecked by manual CRM
When Tyler joined Conduit in early 2024, the company was scaling rapidly, but operations were stretched thin. “At the time, we were managing everything manually in Notion: prospects, networks, deployments, even post‑sales activity,” he explains.
“We were juggling hundreds of rollups for an exponentially growing customer base, and we knew it wasn’t sustainable. All of our critical data was fragmented across our stack, making it very difficult to even gather basic customer information, let alone act on it.”
This makeshift setup deprived engineering, finance, and support of the context they needed. “There was no single view of a customer or their live rollups,” Tyler recalls. “We were on version 0.01 of account management and trying to reach version 1. It just wasn’t scalable.”
Conduit needed a CRM that could actually keep up with their rapidly growing number of customers and deployments. “I wanted something flexible, with all the core features but none of the rigidity of legacy CRMs,” says Tyler. “A great user experience, minimal admin overhead, and a tool our whole team could actually use.”
“An incredible quality of life improvement.”
As Conduit’s growth accelerated, it became clear their makeshift solution couldn't last much longer. Tyler began searching for a platform that could handle the scale and complexity of their go‑to‑market motion.
The team needed a CRM powerful enough to reflect their technical data model, but flexible enough for a fast-moving startup.
“I kept hearing about this new tool called Attio — people were calling it the “Notion of CRMs,” saying that the power, stunning UI, and ease of integration was unmatched,” Tyler recalls. “That got my attention.”
Immediately, seeing that Attio could track the entire customer lifecycle convinced Conduit to try the platform. “Most CRMs are built for either pre-sales or post-sales,” explains Tyler. “Attio gave us the perfect data model to manage both seamlessly, without adding overhead.”
It didn’t take long for the team to make the switch. “Right away, it was an incredible quality of life improvement,” he adds. “Attio completely exceeded my expectations.”
After a quick setup, Conduit was on track to remove the friction in their daily business processes. “All our data—accounts, histories, deployment details—suddenly became accessible to the whole team. Processes that used to take days, suddenly took minutes.”
How Conduit uses Attio
With Attio, Conduit has built a CRM that matches their exact data model and supports their hybrid sales and product-led GTM motion. “We get people in the funnel through freemium, and we have a long tail to activate,” explains Tyler. “But the vast majority of our business is sales-led—rollups are a very technical sell.”
Now, every opportunity and relationship is tracked in detail using lists, powerful workflows, and custom objects, all tailored to Conduit’s unique business model.
Custom deployment tracking
Conduit’s operations revolve around deployments—blockchain networks spun up and managed for individual customers. To track this complex process, Tyler created a custom Deployment object in Attio.
“If you think about any type of infrastructure business, you have one customer for any number of deployments,” explains Tyler. “In post-sales, it’s crucial we can connect every customer to that activity.”
“Our Deployments object pulls in live metadata from our Postgres database via the Attio API, giving every department—from sales to support—real-time visibility into what’s happening on‑chain.”
As a result, all usage data about any deployment is available to everyone in the team. “This object allows anyone to instantly see, report on, and analyze that activity,” says Tyler. “Having all that information at our fingertips is incredible because it saves us so much time.”
Automating the funnel
Beyond the bidirectional data feed populating their Deployments object, Conduit leverages Attio workflows to automate their entire customer lifecycle.
“We use workflows in Attio to pump PQLs into our pipeline,” says Tyler. “That way, we can pick up active deals and surface them inside our demo request funnel, automatically creating and assigning new opportunities to the right people. It makes the whole process much easier for our Sales team.”
Conduit also uses the Typeform workflow block trigger, so that when prospect information is submitted, it automatically adds new opportunities or accounts right inside their pipeline for the team to evaluate.
“I love how modular the workflows in Attio are,” says Tyler. “Even the less technical folks like me can build really powerful automations–that’s been a huge unlock for us as a team.”
Attio is at the core of Conduit's automation engine, and Tyler and the team have set up more integrations to extend its capabilities even further, including Pylon for support ticketing.
A single source of truth
Attio now acts as the central source of truth across Conduit’s sales, partnerships, and customer success teams.
“Whether it's sales tracking, customer success work, or ecosystem relationships, we can see what’s happening, who’s involved, and how much capacity we have at a glance, all within Attio. It's more than we could have ever asked for,” says Tyler. “Web3 is a very ecosystem-heavy space, so tracking the status of those external relationships is critical.”
The adoption rate of Attio in Conduit’s GTM and operations teams has reached 100%. “Everybody on our team uses Attio daily,“ Tyler adds. “The low admin burden makes it perfect for an early-stage startup like ours.”
Attio is not only Conduit’s pre or post-sales GTM system of record, but the core platform where the whole team operates. “With Attio, we have made our data totally accessible to anyone who needs it, across finance, engineering, field engineering, or professional services.”
Building the future of Web3
With Attio powering its GTM engine, Conduit can stay laser-focused on its mission: helping Web3 builders spin up secure, scalable rollups in minutes.
Next, the team is looking to expand their operations in Attio, including building out workflows to add more PQLs into their pipeline. “I don’t want to rely on Notion or anything else,” says Tyler. “I want everything to live in Attio.”
“We chose Attio because we wanted a tool that could scale at the same pace we are. It’s already way ahead of other tools with its UX and collaboration capaibilities—not just for sales, but for every phase of account management beyond that.”
For Conduit, Attio is more than just a CRM — it’s the foundation for their growth. “We’re going from zero to one,” says Tyler, “and Attio is the right tool to scale alongside us. It has everything we need, and more.”
