Mixmax app
Sync Mixmax with Attio to automate your email sequences.
Available on all plans.
Admins can install the Mixmax app.
Once installed, all members can use it in workflows.
While all Attio plans can use the integration, you must be on Mixmax's annual Growth+ or Enterprise plan to use the integration with Attio.
Attio's Mixmax app enables you to automate email outreach by adding contacts from Attio directly into Mixmax email sequences when specific activities happen in your Attio workspace.
Connect your Mixmax account
Attio uses two separate connection types for Mixmax, both requiring an API token rather than a login. Which one you need depends on whether you're using legacy workflows or new workflows.
Legacy workflows
Legacy workflows use a single Legacy workflow connection, set up once by an admin:
In Mixmax, navigate to Settings > Integrations, then click Create Mixmax API Token in the API section. Copy the key.
In Attio, click your workspace name in the upper-left, then select Workspace settings.
Navigate to Apps, search for and select Mixmax, then click Install.
Under the Legacy workflow connections section, click Connect, and enter the access token.
Once this connection is set up, all members of your workspace have access to all sequences on that account when using it in a legacy workflow.
New workflows
New workflows use Member connections instead. Each Add to Mixmax sequence block runs as a specific workspace member, so that member needs their own Mixmax connection.
In Mixmax, navigate to Settings > Integrations, then click Create Mixmax API Token in the API section. Copy the key.
In Attio, navigate to Workspace settings > Apps > Mixmax.
Under Member connections, click Connect next to your name and enter the token.
When building a workflow, choose to run the block as yourself or as another member who's already connected their account.
Configure Mixmax
In order to use Mixmax with Attio, confirm the following:
Ensure you have a sequence created in Mixmax.
Ensure you have a mailbox configured in Mixmax.
Use Mixmax with workflows
Once you have connected your Mixmax account with Attio, you can use the following workflow block. Learn more about creating workflows.
Add email to sequence (Action)
The Add email to sequence block takes an email address and adds it to the start of a Mixmax sequence.
These are the inputs of the Add email to sequence action:
Mixmax connection: The connected Mixmax account you'd like to use.
Sequence (optional): The email sequence in Mixmax the contact will be enrolled in.
Recipient email: The email address of the person you are enrolling in the sequence. We suggest setting this value with a variable.
Other fields dependent on sequence (optional): We suggest setting any other values using variables.
