Lead Product Designer

As Lead Product Designer you'll focus on building and maintaining the design system and delivering exceptional UI/UX work.

Business software is changing fast. Notion is changing how we organize, Slack is replacing internal email, and Miro is transforming how we whiteboard. We believe business relationships are next.

As more and more of our interactions move to the digital world, classical business software has failed to leverage them. It has remained essentially unchanged for the last decade. Most data entry is manual, intelligent data analysis is non-existent, and they're a challenge for users to set up.

We believe the future is simple: consumer-grade design combined with enterprise-grade power. Your relationship software should automatically know your contacts and analyze your communications. Your data should be easily viewed, sorted, and filtered depending on your task. Integrations and automations should be customizable and quick. And it should all be possible whilst seamlessly collaborating with your team. It's our mission to make this a reality.

About Attio

We're an experienced team of entrepreneurs, engineers and operators. We're still a small team and everyone who joins has a big impact on the company. We value authenticity, intellectual curiosity, and team work. We have a flat hierarchy and believe in empowering people to do their best work.

Our investors include Point Nine, Balderton, and Passion Capital, alongside top Angels from venture capital and tech.

We firmly believe that business-built software is the future. That means giving end-users the power to simply and quickly configure software through a beautiful UI so that it works for them. Notion, Airtable, and Zapier have led this wave and we're bringing it to the largest business software category: CRM.

CRMs are at the center of the software stack for millions of businesses. They're ubiquitous and totally essential, yet current products are completely unloved and in massive need of overhaul. This is software that millions of people use for hours and hours a day and you probably can't think of a single awesome piece of software in this space.

With Attio we're trying to completely change the CRM market with two fundamental shifts from the traditional paradigms.

⚡ TL;DR: To easily understand this shift imagine a customer data warehouse with Airtable sitting right on top. That's Attio.

Attio is built on top of existing data streams. We're starting with email, calendar, and social data but will quickly include product and analytics data too. This means teams have:

  1. More, higher quality, data with less user input.
  2. An extremely low time to value. In under 120 seconds we can build and enrich a database for new users, providing value in minutes rather than weeks.

In every other CRM you're working around (or against!) rigid concepts. However, workflows and process in Attio are totally user-defined, with the backing of powerful templates. This means:

  1. Teams can build workflows that are unencumbered by software
  2. Attio gets used for many, many processes that don't fit into the traditional CRM model
  3. We can target a huge number of CRM (or even XRM) use-cases.

Changing paradigms isn't easy - we're building a complex product that's a huge design and engineering challenge. We need to balance power with ease of use, information density with simplicity, and form with function. Attio's unique mix of productivity and data automation, and need for communicating the mutability and state of data, is core to our UI and represents one of our greatest design challenges.

Product design at Attio is currently led by Nick, our CEO, with the help of a couple of super talented freelancers. As lead product designer you'll take over this responsibly, defining Attio's design language, build out our design system, and work with the rest of the product team to build powerful new features.
