## Troubleshoot the desktop app

If you are experiencing loading or performance issues on the desktop app, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Verify that the app is on latest version. Click **Attio** in your menu bar, then **Check for updates**. If an update is already downloaded, you’ll need to restart the app for it to be applied.
2. Try reloading the app by going to **View** in your menu bar, then **Reload**.

3. Restart the application by going to **Attio**, then **Quit Attio** from the menu bar, then reopen the app.

4. Clear application data by going to **Attio**, then **Clear application data**. This resets the Attio desktop app to a fresh state, like a clean install, without deleting your actual workspace data. Clearing application data can:

- Remove saved settings, login sessions, or cached files.
- Fix issues caused by corrupted or outdated app data.
- Force the app to re-sync cleanly with your Attio workspace.
