# Back up your workspace data

Export your workspace data to CSV files.

> Available on all plans.
>
> Workspace exports are restricted to **admins**.

Export and store your workspace data, ensuring you always have a copy of your information. You can generate a backup on demand, download it, and retain it outside of Attio for compliance, reporting, or peace of mind.

## What is included in the workspace export?

Your workspace data will be downloaded to a zip file containing various CSV files:

- Lists
- List attributes
- Attribute options
- Call recording activity (metadata only; no audio, video, or transcripts)
- Comments
- Companies, People, Deals, Users, and Workspaces
- Custom objects
- Files
- Notes
- Tasks
- Workspace members

## What is not included in the workspace export?

The workspace export does not include:

- Emails: Cannot be exported
- Meetings: Can be exported programmatically via [Attio's API](https://docs.attio.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/meetings/get-a-meeting)
- Call recordings: Can be exported programmatically via [Attio's API](https://docs.attio.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/call-recordings/get-call-recording)

## Export workspace data

Although your Attio data is backed up in the cloud, admins can also export workspace data in a few easy steps:

1. Click on your workspace name in the upper-left of your account and select **Workspace settings**.
2. Under the **General **tab click the option to **Start new export **under **Export Workspace data**.
3. Once the export reaches 100% completion, click the download icon to download the file.
